PIETER LAURENS MOL, catalogue (Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam 1978)

Pieter was one of the founding members of the artists collective, the In-Out Centre, in Amsterdam during the early to mid 70s. Initially known for his photoworks (wry self-stagings) and poetic objects and drawings, he later concentrated on larger sculptures and drawings using red lead. There has always been a strong metaphorical slant to his work. A couple of years ago he became the first living Dutch artist to be granted a solo exhibition at New York's Museum of Modern Art
